Most of us have experienced the frustration of not being able to fall asleep quickly. In fact, the National Sleep Foundation reports that about 40% of Americans have difficulty sleeping at least a few times each month. A recent study wanted to test if writing a ‘to-do list’ 5 minutes before bedtime could help individuals fall asleep faster. The researchers found that making a list significantly improved sleep compared to a control group. These result suggest that writing a “to-do list” helps to offload the daunting thoughts and concerns about tomorrow. Thus, if you are having difficulty falling asleep, making a to-do list before going to bed might help!
